I went into the Endless Mile with one huge goal: 100 miles in 48 hours at age 64. Now it’s time to talk about what actually happened.

In this video, I break down my Endless Mile results—what worked, what didn’t, the highs and lows, and whether all the training, pacing, nutrition, and planning were enough to get me to that 100-mile buckle.

An ultra like this isn’t just about running. It’s about managing fatigue, staying fueled, solving problems as they happen, and continuing to move forward when your body is telling you to stop.

At 64, I’m still finding out what’s possible—and this race definitely gave me an answer.

In Part 3 of this series, I’m breaking down the race format and, just as importantly, my nutrition plan for getting through 100 miles. In an event this long, it’s not just about running. Pacing, fueling, hydration, and managing your body for two full days can make the difference between reaching 100 miles and coming up short.

I’ll share how the race works, what I plan to eat and drink, how often I’ll fuel, and the strategy I’m using to keep moving when the miles start piling up.

Why would I want to run, walk, and keep moving for 48 HOURS? In this video, I share why I decided to take on this challenge, what motivates me to keep pushing my limits, and what I hope to learn along the way.

For me, ultra running has never just been about miles or finishing times. It’s about finding out what we’re capable of, especially as we get older. Age may change how we train and recover, but it doesn’t mean we have to stop setting BIG goals.
