This solo hike will take places in the Historic Tannehill State Park in Alabama.
Alabama has some of the best locations for solo hiking! This one at the Historic Tannehill State park does not disappoint.
The benefits of hiking are well known. Pretty much anyone can do it. Hiking is a cheap activity to get into. Most people have a state park or somewhere outdoors without needing to drive very far.
Tannehill State Park has a wide variety of hiking trails as well as biking trails.
I hope my latest short film will inspire and motivate you to get out, find a trail and go hiking. You’ll be glad you did!

Car shows have been a part of Americana for what seems like forever…
So today in another series of my “Best Of” I highlight Best of Southern Tennessee and North Alabama Car Shows. There is one caveat to these car shows – there the Best Of that I’ve attended. There are a ton of Southern Tennessee and North Alabama Car Shows that are incredible and I hope to make a short film of those in the future…
Today’s Best of Southern Tennessee and North Alabama Car Shows will highlight 2 years of the Ardmore Tennessee Car Show and the Athens Alabama Car Show held on the historic Athens Square.
There are so many cars at these two car show that it you don’t see, it may not exist!

This cinematic short film is a compilation of rides on my Yamaha Vstar 1100 Classic motorcycle – or what’s left of it…
It’s a best of my motorcycle rides thru 2024.
One of the highlights of this motorcycle ride is my ride to Lynnville, Tennessee, home of Soda Pop Junction. Soda Pop Junction is home of Tennessee’s Best Hamburger! It’s also home of the world famous Col Littleton’s leather shop.
On this motorcycle ride I’ll take you to a lot of other places like Elkmont, Leggtown and even Bessemer Alabama.
My Yamaha Vstar 1100 now has the number 92 on the tank. 92 is the year that I graduated from Seminary – this my series 92 Rides.

In Best of 2024 Vacant and Abandoned in Alabama we explore small southern towns, some have seen better days and some are making a comeback.
One thing that I always find in common when exploring or what many call urban hiking, is that the people who live there a great folks – and why shouldn’t they be.
