In my latest short film I go urban exploring in Birmingham, Alabama.

Birmingham is rated one of the TOP 10 most dangerous cities in America according to US News and World Report.

While exploring this area of Birmingham, Alabama, one of the Top 10 Most Dangerous Cities in America, I never felt in danger at all.

As with my other most dangerous short films, I’m not sure how the rankings work, especially with Birmingham, Alabama.

Dangerous? Unseen Bessemer by Motorcycle… Top 10 Most Dangerous Cities?

In my latest short film “Dangerous? Unseen Bessemer by Motorcycle… Top 10 Most Dangerous Cities?” I ride the streets of Bessemer, Alabama by motorcycle…

According to https://www.areavibes.com/al/most-dangerous-cities/ Bessemer is the second most dangerous city in Alabama only behind Tarrant.

As I ride and hang out in many of the Top 10 most Dangerous cities in Alabama, I have never found them to be that bad. I do not know how they determine the most dangerous, much less rank them. Like other states there are always pockets of crime in every city.

During this ride, as always, I never felt it was dangerous whatsoever!

Bessemer, Alabama is not far from Birmingham and is the home of the world famous Bright Star restaurant, known for it’s Greek selections and Lemon Pie.

Hope you enjoy the old homes, antebellum homes, vacant homes and abandoned – the unseen parts of Bessemer, as well as the historic downtown.

Urban Hiking Dexter Avenue, in Montgomery, Alabama is full of American history.

It’s the site where:

Rosa Parks boarded the bus and refused to give up her seat.

Dexter Ave Baptist Church where Martin Luther King Jr. Preached and organized the Montgomery Bus Boycott.

The First White House of the Confederacy where Jeff Davis once lived

Capital

Chris’ Famous Hot Dogs visited by Martin Luther King Jr., Hank Williams Sr., and several Presidents of the United States.

Winter Sunset Solo Hike in Historic Location!

Today’s micro adventure is the first Solo Hike of 2025!

This solo hike will take places in the Historic Tannehill State Park in Alabama.

Alabama has some of the best locations for solo hiking! This one at the Historic Tannehill State park does not disappoint.

The benefits of hiking are well known. Pretty much anyone can do it. Hiking is a cheap activity to get into. Most people have a state park or somewhere outdoors without needing to drive very far.

Tannehill State Park has a wide variety of hiking trails as well as biking trails.

I hope my latest short film will inspire and motivate you to get out, find a trail and go hiking. You’ll be glad you did!

This cinematic short film is a compilation of rides on my Yamaha Vstar 1100 Classic motorcycle – or what’s left of it…

It’s a best of my motorcycle rides thru 2024.

One of the highlights of this motorcycle ride is my ride to Lynnville, Tennessee, home of Soda Pop Junction. Soda Pop Junction is home of Tennessee’s Best Hamburger! It’s also home of the world famous Col Littleton’s leather shop.

On this motorcycle ride I’ll take you to a lot of other places like Elkmont, Leggtown and even Bessemer Alabama.

My Yamaha Vstar 1100 now has the number 92 on the tank. 92 is the year that I graduated from Seminary – this my series 92 Rides.
